AI-2-Human ("we", "us", or "our") uses a limited number of cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the Service. This Cookie Policy explains what they are, why we use them, and how you can control them.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we process personal information more broadly.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small files stored in your browser or on your device when you visit a website.

We also use similar technologies, such as local storage, that allow the Service to remember information or operate certain features.

In this policy, the word "cookies" refers to cookies and similar browser-storage technologies taken together.

2. Why We Use Cookies

AI-2-Human uses a limited number of cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep you securely signed in;
  • protect the Service against abuse and automated activity;
  • remember your language and appearance preferences;
  • understand how the Service is used;
  • measure and improve product performance.

We do not use cookies to store the text you submit to AI Humanizer or AI Detector.

3. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the Service to operate correctly.

They are used for purposes such as:

  • authentication and session management;
  • account security;
  • fraud and abuse prevention;
  • maintaining application functionality.

Because these technologies are necessary to provide the Service, or a feature you explicitly requested, they cannot be disabled from inside the Service.

You can still block them using your browser settings, but doing so may prevent parts of AI-2-Human from working correctly.

4. Preference Technologies

We store limited information needed to remember choices you make, such as:

  • your selected language;
  • your light or dark appearance preference.

For example, AI-2-Human may store your selected language so that you are taken to the right one when you return.

These technologies are not used for advertising.

5. Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how visitors interact with AI-2-Human.

Analytics helps us understand things such as:

  • which features are used;
  • whether Humanizer or Detector operations complete successfully;
  • how visitors move through the Service;
  • conversion and onboarding flows;
  • general product performance.

Our analytics implementation is designed not to send the text you submit to AI Humanizer or AI Detector as analytics event properties.

We also do not intentionally send passwords, authentication tokens, full payment-card details, or feedback message content to PostHog.

Session replay is also enabled. It records how a session moves through the interface, with form fields and text areas masked, so the text you type into the Service is not captured by the recorder. Interface areas that show user content or an email address as plain text are marked so that they are neither recorded nor collected automatically.

6. Technologies We Use

The Service stores the following items in your browser:

  • ai2h_locale, on our domain: the language you selected, kept for one year. It is what sends you back to the same language on your next visit.
  • theme, in browser local storage: your light or dark appearance preference, kept until you clear it.
  • a session cookie on our domain, named sb- followed by our project reference and auth-token: your authentication session, set only if you sign in, and cleared when the session ends.
  • a PostHog key, named ph- followed by a project identifier and posthog, in browser local storage and in a cookie: a client identifier that avoids counting a returning visitor as a new one, set only when analytics is enabled.

The exact durations of the session and analytics items depend on the session length and on the retention settings of those two providers. The list above describes what the Service stores today: adding a technology means adding a line here.

The bot-protection challenge used on some requests is covered by section 7, because it does not place a cookie of ours.

7. Services That Do Not Necessarily Use Browser Cookies

Some providers used by AI-2-Human may process limited technical information without necessarily placing a cookie in your browser.

For example, we may use services for:

  • error and performance monitoring;
  • application hosting;
  • database infrastructure;
  • text processing;
  • payment processing;
  • rate limiting and security.

How those providers handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

A provider appearing in our Privacy Policy does not necessarily mean that the provider places a cookie on your device.

8. Your Cookie Choices

The Service does not run advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.

You can:

  • block analytics and other non-essential storage in your browser;
  • delete the cookies and local storage the Service has set, at any time;
  • use a private browsing window, which discards them when you close it.

Blocking analytics does not restrict your use of AI-2-Human: no feature depends on it.

9. Browser Controls

Most browsers allow you to:

  • view stored cookies;
  • delete cookies;
  • block cookies;
  • prevent websites from storing new cookies.

These controls vary depending on the browser and device you use.

Blocking essential cookies may prevent authentication or other parts of AI-2-Human from functioning correctly.

10. How Long Cookies Are Stored

Some of the technologies we use exist only for the duration of a browser session.

Others remain for a defined period so that AI-2-Human can remember your language, your appearance preference, or your session.

Analytics identifiers, where analytics is enabled, may persist for a limited period.

We review the retention periods of the technologies we use and aim not to keep cookie identifiers longer than reasonably necessary for their purpose.

The list in section 6 shows what each item is kept for today, and how it can be removed.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when:

  • our Service changes;
  • we add or remove technologies;
  • our providers change;
  • applicable privacy requirements change.

The date shown at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.

If we introduce a new purpose that requires consent, we will request the appropriate consent before activating the relevant technology, where the law requires it.
